By taking into account factors such as budget, maintenance requirements, and design preferences, Blueshift can help you find the perfect flooring option that will enhance the beauty and functionality of your space.

Hardwood Floor

Luxury Vinyl Flooring

Luxury vinyl plank flooring is a popular choice due to its numerous benefits and attractive characteristics. One significant advantage is that luxury vinyl is waterproof, making it highly resistant to moisture damage. In the HRM, this is exceptionally important!

Design advancements in luxury vinyl have enabled manufacturers to create extremely durable surfaces that are resistant to scratches and scuffs caused by heavy foot traffic or moving furniture.

Unlike other types of flooring, luxury vinyl is available in a vast array of colors, patterns, and textures that mimic the look of natural materials such as hardwood, stone, or tile. If you're looking for ultimate design control, this is the flooring for you.

Engineered Hardwood Floors

Engineered hardwood flooring offers numerous advantages over traditional solid wood floor installation.

One of the main advantages is its exceptional resistance to warping and bowing, making it ideal for areas with excessive moisture, much like vinyl flooring.Traditional hardwood flooring is sensitive to moisture and can easily expand or contract when exposed to humid environments.

Engineered hardwood, on the other hand, is more resistant to these changes, making it an ideal choice for moist or humid areas such as basements or kitchens.

Carpet Installation & Options

Carpet is a classic choice for flooring due to its comfortable and aesthetic qualities.

Top-tier carpets are made from soft, plush materials that are easy on the feet and provide a cushioned surface to walk on, making them perfect for rooms where comfort is a priority, such as bedrooms and living rooms.

Carpet also offers excellent insulation properties. It acts as a natural thermal barrier, preventing heat loss through the floor and keeping the room warm during colder months. So, choosing the right type of flooring can even save you money!

When choosing carpet, we recommend to opt for higher quality options. These carpets are made from materials that are more durable and long-lasting than those made from cheaper fabrics. They are also easier to clean and maintain, ensuring that your carpet will remain in excellent condition for years to come.

Floor & Material Removal

Removing the old flooring is a necessary step when renovating or replacing old materials. In a nutshell, the process involves removing the existing flooring to prepare the subfloor for new installation.

  • For carpet removal, the process usually starts with cutting and rolling the carpet into manageable sections. The carpet and padding are then carefully lifted and disposed of. Any residue left behind, such as adhesive or tack strips, is removed.

  • Laminate floor removal involves lifting each individual plank or tile. Often, laminate flooring is installed using a click-and-lock system, which makes the removal process relatively straightforward. The planks or tiles are lifted one by one and either discarded or reused if they are in good condition.

  • Hardwood floor removal is more labor-intensive. It typically involves the use of special tools like a floor scraper or sander to remove the top layer of finish and reveal the underlying wood. The planks are then pried up using a pry bar. This process can be time-consuming and delicate to avoid damaging the subfloor.

The cost of floor removal and disposal can vary depending on the type of flooring, the size of the area, and the location. That being said, you can give us a call and one of our dedicated flooring professionals will happily give you a quote & answer your questions.
